CAC Art Series Presents:
A Day in the Life
“Justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity. Those who clearly recognize the voice of their own conscience usually recognize also the voice of justice.”
A. Solzhenistyn
Social justice; some see it as the responsibility of the government, world leaders, the likes of Gandhi and Mother Teresa, or maybe even the likes of you and me. We can ascertain to achieve it in a flurry of different ways; protesting for a cause, exposing corruption, or simply talking about an issue. The possibilities are endless, the number of issues budding, and CAC’s Art Series wants to ignite dialogue and address social justice
CAC Art Series’ presentation of “A Day in the Life: Exploring and Exposing Everyday” is the first of three exhibitions this fall as a part of their artistic symposium on social justice. The artwork will be anything the artists see fit to their own vision for social justice, so we invite the general public to ignite dialogue about social issues around LA and on a global scale by joining us at the opening night on Oct. 26, 2009, 5:00-7:00 PM (**NOTE THE DATE CHANGE**) in the Kerckhoff Art Gallery at UCLA.
